Just a bad , bad man
« on: June 30, 2008, 12:08:47 PM »
I heard yesterday that an acquaintance died. This man was a terrable person, made his living by creating, then collapsing limited real estate partnerships. I got caught on the edges of one, and went after him with every legal option. During the course of my investigation, I discovered, with my wife's help, he has, in a period of 15 years swindled a number of people out of about $5 million. The biggest, one in NJ, where he "got" the other general partner for about $1.5 million and 2 widowed sisters for a total of just over $500,000. The smallest, a restaurant in Albany NY that "MYSTEROUSLY"  burned to the ground after being stripped of funds, and he collected the insurance, AND kept EVERY PENNY.

Anyway, I prevailed against him, and ultimately collected a portion of my money back from the crook. So, when I heard he'd died , I took a certain amount of pleasure in that. He was unable to reach retirement age and live in luxury with his  IGG.

I wonder if I should file a claim against his estate.......but he was a master at hiding his capital.

I imagine he was offended when told by Satan at the entrance that 1) he couldn't bring it with him, and 2) Satan wasn't interested in a little bribe.
