I doubt the state legislature's actions influenced the UAW vote at all. The people down here known who's buttering their bread and don't welcome any middlemen between them and their livelihood. There are enough UAW plants around here (Peterbilt being the most obvious one). Who needs contract disputes every five years and trying to live on strike wages while the union goons and the manufacturer try to iron out unreasonable demands made by left-wing unionistas who's only goal is to extort more money from their membership.
