Doctors boycotting California's Obamacare exchangeAn estimated seven out of every 10 physicians in deep-blue California are rebelling against the state's Obamacare health insurance exchange and won't participate, the head of the state's largest medical association said. The CMA represents 38,000 of the roughly 104,000 doctors in California.California offers one of the lowest government reimbursement rates in the country -- 30 percent lower than federal Medicare payments. And reimbursement rates for some procedures are even lower.
Washington ExaminerJust another bump in the road. Soon, accepting ObamaCare policies will be made mandatory.
At which point, doctors will decide to retire or leave the profession. After which, the gov't will make it mandatory that anyone with a medical degree, regardless of whether they are actively using it or not, provide care. And after that, the first class action suit against the gov't for violation of the 13th Amendment.
Got a letter from a local doctor that's going the concierge route. You pay a yearly retainer, plus whatever he charges for services rendered. He even does house calls, and it's all on a cash basis.I have Medicare, Medicare Advantage and joined a VIP service which I pay $125 a month extra. In return, I get more tests that is covered under Medicare, ex-rays and other services. I can call him day or night and on the weekends. In 10 min. he will return my call and can get same day appointments and call in a prescription. I have had two specialist tell me that they may quit taking Medicare patients. The poor and the takers may think Obamacare is a good thing. Just wait till they can not find a doctor to treat them. The ill informed and dummies will be sh!tting bricks then.
^^ We were shouting that from mountaintops, too, but would anyone listen? That shoe has not even begun to drop. That mounting panic as you work your way down the phone book...
