Wisconsin: Walker "Joke": Teachers, Public Servants are Lazy, Overpaid Heathens
http://www.uppitywis.org/blogarticle/walker-joke-teachers-public-servants-are-lazy-overpaid-heathens
f the presidential thing doesn't work-out for Scott Walker, his back-up plan appears to be as a Jeff Foxworthy knock-off. In his upcoming book, he re-tells of a time that he cracked his staff up by reading the "Top Ten Ways to tell if you Might be a Member of a public sector union":
I, Delmar, snipped out the three random jokes that Scuba brought over to DU since I'll bring over to the cave all ten and include them below. But I would urge everyone--lurking DUmmies and cavers alike--to go to the uppitywis link.
Haha, what a wit. Nitwit.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10849723Here are the jokes from the uppitywis link:
0.) You take a week off to protest in Wisconsin and your office runs better.
9.) On a snow day when they say “non-essential†people should stay home you know who they mean.
8.) You get paid twice as much as a private sector person doing the same job but make up the difference by doing half as much work.
7.) It takes longer to fire you than the average killer spends on death row.
6.) The worse you do your job, the more your boss avoids you.
5.) You think the French are working themselves to death.
4.) You know by having a copy of the Holy Koran on your desk your job is 100% safe.
3.) You spend more time at protest marches than at church.
2.) You have a Democratic congressman’s lips permanently attached to your butt.
1.) You pay more in union dues than you do for your healthcare insurance.
Typical DUmmy reactions:

1. Saw this earlier this morning
disgusting...
Should be spread as far as possible so people can see what a hate-filled piece of excrement Walker really is.

3. Is this for real?
I really can't tell.
I'm seriously asking. Because if it's real, this is like some Nazi shit... and no apologies for saying that.
The comments at the uppitywis link are more varied and interesting. Uppity Wisconsin is certainly a progressive/liberal site, but it looks like people from the right are allowed to participate in the comments. There don't seem to be any posts hidden by jury decision, no tombstones, no MIRT squads, no Extraordinary Committee to Combat Counter-Revolution and Sabotage. A few examples:

He actually wrote this in his book...and he has presidential aspirations? He's a bigger ass than I already took him for. I have the double whammy of being both a state employee and a teacher. After 20 years of teaching at a public high school I have spent the past 13 teaching at a medium security prison. Because of Walker's "reforms" I am now making exactly the same as I was in 2007..minus a week of vacation and a higher deductible on my insurance and stricter workplace rules. This is after two years of furloughs and give backs by our union. It was especially frustrating to see him survive the recall..but that was due in large part to our actions..harassing that douchebag where ever he went. It made us look like the "union thugs" that the conservatives like to label us. This time we have to be smarter and work harder.

Yes your situation is SO UNIQUE...lol. Talk to a factory worker making less than in 2007. Talk to a pharma rep making less than 2007. This whoa is me attitude HAS to stop. Don't like what you make?...choose a new career path....just be aware the private sector is feeling the same thing. The grass is not any more brown on your side of the fence than it is on the other side

But it is in fact the sorts of policies that Walker and his friends are promoting that is causing the downward trend for ALL workers. Union-busting, lowering of salaries, removal of benefits, etc. ad nauseum drags down all workers and the whole economy. This is not an us vs. them situation. It's an us vs. ourselves situation.

This is not happening just in Wisconsin. "Blaming Walker" just doesn't cut it. The private sector is hurting nationally as well. Salaries are being lowered, benefits are being removed....Walker's policies have nothing to do with that. If you are really so dead set against his policies, as I suggested to another, when your property tax bill comes this year, please pay at the rate you were paying a couple years ago. Don't pay the new lower amount ...
Notice that Steve Hanson is listed as a moderator--Dennis and Diana Mader disagreed with him and their post still stands. Ask yourself how it would go over at democrat underground if a right winger sassed a moderator?
