The gracious host tried to save her by stating, “Surely, you’re aware that the Indians were the native population of this country and were driven from their homes by the European settlers.

This further incited Palin and her rant continued, “I’ll tell ya what I know. I know that these tribes do a lot of whining. I mean they got special rights up the wazzoo. They have those casinos all over the place. Seems to me they got a great deal. If they would just put down the bottle and whatever they’re smoking in those peace pipes and get a job like the rest of us, they’d be alright. I see it all the time in Alaska with the Inuit. They just don’t want to join the rest of us. They’re still hunting whale for gosh sake.”

The station quickly went to commercial break and Palin was gone when the show resumed. .........

     I still don't get the liberal fascination with the American Indian. Let's go down the list: a lot of them owned slaves, they fought amongst themselves a lot, and they were RACISTS. Not only that, they camped out a lot, went hunting, killed defenseless animals, burned multiple fires out in the open, and adored owning weapons that could take the life of another person in the blink of an eye. They were self-sufficient: one did for oneself, or relied on family and/or the tribe, for which repayment was expected. Religion existed and was widely accepted, and it guided many decisions and ideals. Everyone worked.

     In other words, the Indians that liberals adore are pretty much the exact forebears of the Southern white folks that liberals despise.

Many times I've read an OP a DUmmy took from "the Onion" but did not include a satire warning, but did include the Onion URL.

Often there would be several posts expressing outrage or disbelief before some kind DUmmy pointed out it was satire from the satire site.

Then, there would be more expressions of outrage/disbelief, and yet another explanation.

I feel quite sorry for me, since they've said many times they are smarter than the rest of us.  I'm freakin' doomed!

I'm never going to buy in to the meme that Palin is "stupid" by the libs. I don't think any conservatives should buy in either.
It's just basic dishonest character assassination by libs.

     I think Palin's worst trait is that she is (or at least was) not very well-read and not as articulate as one might hope. That doesn't mean she's STUPID. At worst it means that she's unprepared. Then again, who COULD
be prepared for the shitstorm of nastiness and invective tossed at her by faggy New York pseudo-journalists who know more about the canapes served at some rich guy's cocktail party than world or national affairs? The
BUSH DOCTRINE? WTF???? Historians haven't gotten enough distance to identify anything as a doctrine, with the possible exception of 0blivious' 'Please Fill My Rectum With Your Shoe, Mister Putin' Doctrine.

I've listened to Palin a lot.

I don't see how you can reach any conclusion other than she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. For example, there's no explanation or excuse for confusing North and South Korea.

And sorry, but that high-pitched nasal voice drives me up the wall.

For any of her faults, she would have been a for better VP than Biden. For that matter a far better CIC than rodeowebuma.

The American Indians were on their way out.  It sucks but it's true.  If the Europeans had not shown up, the Chinese would have a bit later.  Same result, except the Chinese would have been more ruthless.
