Happy early Thanksgiving

I know this is a few days early, but I didn’t want to take a chance of getting busy and forgetting to post it.

As Thanksgiving Day approaches I want to take a minute to thank all of the members of our CC family. Your wit can usually bring a smile even on the worse day, and just the fact that people like you exist gives hope for America’s tomorrow.

I want to thank our military, both here and abroad, for their service and sacrifice.

I want to thank my wife for sticking by my side even during the times it would have been much easier not to.

And most of all I want to thank God for…everything.

I also want to thank the members of DU. Their bigotry, narrow-mindedness, hypocrisy, racism, anti-Semitism, and overall hatred of all things good and decent provides the rest of the nation a benchmark of how NOT to live.

So thanks to all and have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

H5s to all on the thread.  Chuck, I tell my wife that I'm shocked that she's still with me after all of these years, a few times each week.  Helps to keep me humble.  And, I tell The Heiress that, no matter how mad we (can) get at her when she misbehaves, we will always love her, also a few times each week.

I'm thankful for all the things you mentioned, Chuck, and for the patriots everywhere that realize that our country needs to get back to God and His principles.  I will tell you, and anyone else, that I am definitely not perfect and I need to return to the same principles.  We need to remember that we're not perfect, but continue to work for our goals of, and with, reverence to He Who made us.
