HHS reports 106,000 have picked health plans through ObamaCare exchanges
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/11/13/hhs-reports-106000-have-picked-health-plans-through-obamacare/The Department of Health and Human Services reported Wednesday that more than 100,000 people have selected a health care plan through the ObamaCare exchanges -- a number that, likely due to widespread website failures, falls far short of the administration's goal.
The administration had originally hoped to sign up a half-million people in the first month of open enrollment. Now more than six weeks into the troubled launch of HealthCare.gov and other state-based exchanges, HHS announced Wednesday that 106,185 people had selected a plan as of Nov. 2. And just 27,000 did so via the federal exchanges.
Wow. This number is simply amazingly bad. The Administration said that in the first month they expected to get at least 500,000 people to sign up, they got less than 20% of that number.
Obamacare is also responsible for 5 million cancellation notices, so far, which means that the number of people who have been kicked off of their healthcare dwarfs the number of people who have actually signed up.
Keep in mind to that the administrations own stated requirement for solvency is 7 million people with 2.5 million of them being young. In order to reach that number they have to sign up 46,000 people PER DAY from now until the end of the open enrollment period.
So......We all knew it would be bad but did anyone think it would be this bad? 2014 is going to make 2010 look like a Democratic landslide.
