Tunnel linking US and Mexico found

A drug-smuggling tunnel equipped with electricity, ventilation and a rail system has been found connecting San Diego, California, and Tijuana, Mexico.

Authorities seized more than eight tons of marijuana and 325lb (147kg) of cocaine in the discovery.

Officials have not revealed the exact length or location of the recently finished tunnel, but Mexican media report it is near Tijuana's airport.

More than 75 such secret tunnels have been discovered since 2008.
Sorta interesting article, not world shattering, but interesting.

Unfortunately, it is an article about events in/around San Diego, gNads' beat, and the scoop must have offended her.

1. Yup, what is local news doing on GD though?

And i mean hyper-local? Oh wait, BBC picked on it. My bad.

A voice of borderline reason suggests that it is not necessarily merely a 'local' item

3. not necessarily a local story.

9. BBC scooped East County Magazine?

Not one peep on the tunnel, yet the local online magazine had a story on road stripping and a strange one on ghost hunting titled: HAUNTINGS IN EL CAJON? PARANORMAL PROJECT TEAMS UP TO INVESTIGATE.
This too shall pass.

She must think that everyone not on her ignore list is hanging on every post she makes. As if she was Obi Wan Kenobi teaching young padawans the ways of the Force.

When gNads describes herself as a professional journo, she's talking about receiving hush money.

East County PennySaver is on the payroll of the Tijuana Cartel. Crazy Miriam is getting paid to spike stories about the eight-lane express tunnel under the border. By keeping the citizens of eastern San Diego County watching the sky for wayward wind turbine blades, she is keeping their eye off the flow of wetbacks and bales of Sinaloan sinsemilla moving right under their noses.*

She'll do anything to get the money for those microphones she's been begging for, and maybe gNads will finally get the gas money she's been mooing about.

The gNads gets her boxers in a wad because someone else scooped her.  :lmao:
Attempts to denigrate the OP as local, which it really isn't.
Her feeble attempt to bully, was mostly ignored.  They laugh at her as we do.  :rotf:

The Urban Dictionary makes the common mistake of capitalizing "nadin".

Otherwise it's amazingly accurate.

1.  Nadin

Perfection. A person who's named Nadin; not Nadine, is beautiful on the outside and on the inside. She usually has long, flowy hair and an almost perfect complexion. Inside, she is kind and gentle, has an outgoing personality and is very confident. Like a ballerina, she is somewhat very graceful and great in bed.

It's really too bad that the people who wrote those Urban Dictionary entries were even more illiterate than nadin.

There is no shortage of morons on our side of the divide.

Nomex's capabilities beyond being fire retardant are grossly underestimated.

A tunnel connecting two nations would be inter-national news would it not?  Come on man!   Mexico is a nation, albeit not much of one, Kalifornication is a nation un to itself, therefore, a tunnel connecting the two is international news.  :rotf:
