Ya know, this isn't as bad as the last one, "Mittens" or whatever it was. Yeah, it sounded like a guy working through progressions on a guitar, or somebody that doesn't have a lot of experience recording his jam session. The truly awful part was the fade in and out of whatever that was backing up the guitar, it sounded like somebody running their fingernails down a chalkboard at various random intervals. He needs a lot of rhythm work.
Edit: I just listened to most of this new body of work, nope same problems. He's using some Casio keyboard way too much, has no rhythm outside of the keyboard, he makes obvious mistakes on the keyboard work, at time it's like he is just hitting random keys. He has adjusted the voice track to something closer to right as far as audio level, but then ran it to unintelligibility using a synthesizer on it for some reason.
Taverner's equipment is cheap. His microphone is embedded in some piece of equipment, probably the keyboard. He needs a lot of practice. If he is going to seriously try recording, he needs to look into actually getting the equipment for it.
