Taverner, since none of your fellow primitives can be bothered to gather at your campfire, I'll offer up the first critique:

It's gutter trash.

Also of note, one of his two followers on Soundcloud is the pineapple-headed primitive.

"Taverner 420". Marijuana-fueled incoherent yowling, I imagine.

I didn't go listen BH. The last time I listened to his.... "music".... my ears detached from my body and wouldn't listen for me for a week. I had to buy them a case of Q-tips before they would agree to reattach to my head.   :-)

You're not missing anything.  Believe me.

I may very well be Taverner's only "fan", since I'm probably the only person (other than Taverner himself) who has listened to everything he has uploaded.  With that, I feel I am justified in passing judgement on his drug-induced strummings:  They're shit.

That's not music. That's someone practicing chords and chord changes as part of a guitar lesson.

Kregel, you suck. If you had a day job, I'd suggest you stick to it.

Ya know, this isn't as bad as the last one, "Mittens" or whatever it was.  Yeah, it sounded like a guy working through progressions on a guitar, or somebody that doesn't have a lot of experience recording his jam session.  The truly awful part was the fade in and out of whatever that was backing up the guitar, it sounded like somebody running their fingernails down a chalkboard at various random intervals.  He needs a lot of rhythm work.

Edit: I just listened to most of this new body of work, nope same problems.  He's using some Casio keyboard way too much, has no rhythm outside of the keyboard, he makes obvious mistakes on the keyboard work, at time it's like he is just hitting random keys.  He has adjusted the voice track to something closer to right as far as audio level, but then ran it to unintelligibility using a synthesizer on it for some reason.

Taverner's equipment is cheap.  His microphone is embedded in some piece of equipment, probably the keyboard.  He needs a lot of practice.  If he is going to seriously try recording, he needs to look into actually getting the equipment for it.

For coach's benefit, you could say that Kregel's music is as good as the CalPig's poetry.

Don't encourage them to get together, please. The last thing the world needs is the Kregel Carter Band stinking up the joint.

I wish I had seen this before I listened to that noise.

I was listening to Mahler's 9th on the way to work today. Talk about a dropoff.

I listened and it sounds like a person that knows 3 chords and thinks that playing them in repetitious order at different tempos is music.

As I said on the other thread, a team of flatulating horses could produce better music.

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible
