In other words "dad" is trying to get him committed.

Go to Japan to teach English  :whatever:

Yeah...given his track record, I can't see how that plan could possibly end well.

A fitting punishment for the Japanese for getting us into WW2......even worse than an atomic bomb.

You what they'd do for their revenge for Loconuts, right?

Both of them. :runaway: :bolt: :panic:

“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Good idea.  I hear they need teachers at Fukushima High.

This kid can't even spend a week in a dorm room without turning into a sobbing blob of goo.

I don't see him making a 12+ hour flight to a foreign country and making a go of it.

Well then, open the back door and let him take a 20 minute vacation to shark week about halfway there.

As soon as I read "psychiatrist" I gave up on the poor widdle baby! All these DUmpster Divers have one or two high paid, taxpayer furnished, professionals it seems. Sure don't sound like he's payin' for it!

I couldn't believe what I was reading.  I think the old man's just as crazy as Loco.

Does Loco even know Japanese?

I'm with Frank.  I say:  Go for it!  You should definitely go!

I'm sure Loco's dad would say so what if he doesn't speak Japanese, he's going to teach English!

And I think the old man is pretty crafty. They live in Vancouver. Within five months they can relocate to an undisclosed location in Toronto.

Can't imagine why Daddy is tryin' to get him/her/it outa the basement to "find" itself. You can bet a one way ticket is in his future.

Have to agree with his Dad, sometimes the depressed need to get into another world then the one they have every day.

Japan is not a good idea but as he has interest in the Yukon, send him to teach or even work as a maintenance man in Alaska.   A total world different from what is causing him depression.

Everything will be different, the people, the land and he will have to self adjust to living conditions, no time to obsess on his problems of old, new ones to physically overcome.   What to do when one comes face to face with a Polar Bear, how to insure his car will start in -30 degree weather.

Depressed people need to get the heck away into a new environment that they must learn to live in.

No time to dwell on their past problems , a place where every day is a new adventure, a new problem to over come.

Is this the guy that moved into a dorm at the age of 31? If so, wasn't that about three weeks ago?

I don't think he is depressed, Vesta. I think he is just another dummie loser. I'm guessing his Dad is hoping he freaks out while going thru TSA and they throw him in the clink for a long time.

Alaska would be a good choice for him too. Mother Nature is a bitch and you either adapt or die. Either way, he would be better off, Vesta.
