Man, if this happens, and I doubt it will, there will be some great stories forthcoming.

Locut0s (4,201 posts) So I think I need a sharp kick to the but...
Yeah I need a kick in the ass. I know I'm going to ****ing regret posting this later but I guess I'm doing it on purpose to try to kick start myself which I can't seem to do. Since the recent breakdown I had which caused me to quit school again for the umpteenth time I've just been lounging at home overeating (self harm sort of), oversleeping, and feeling sorry for myself leeching off my enabling parents. I know they shouldn't enable me but that's the way they are and they worry about me, it would be easier for me in some ways if they didn't, I would have more motivation to get off my ass at least.

My parents have however offered to help in other ways and although I'd rather I did things my own way that's also part of my perfectionism (it's easier to say to myself I should pull myself up by my bootstraps cause that's what a proper 'man' does it, and then proceed to do nothing, cause part of me would rather not try than do things less than 'perfect') I think it's time I took them up on the offer. My mother has offered to help me get back into 7-11, possibly, to see if I can go back to being an assistant manager there. I did successfully for 4 years as an ASM there years back. And they have offered to help me with getting a place, an apartment, so I can finally start living on my own. Like I said I don't feel comfortable taking their money for this and doing things the "training wheels" way, especially at 31. But it's better than sitting at home doing shit all. And I really do think getting out and living on my own will be good for me. I'm going to do this over the next few months, it's not just going to be immediate. I guess I'm trying to talk myself into doing it and maybe by posting it here I have even less excuse not to get off my ass. Course that never stopped me before, lol. Still looking to get a replacement psychiatrist and psychologist for those who recommended I make a switch, that doesn't seem to be easy to find.
This is a new campfire, but we should expect all sorts of "you can do this" type responses, when all of them (DUmmies) know that he can't, or won't.

Good reading though.
This too shall pass.

DUmbass....you were just out on your own when you were in school living in a dorm...how did that work out for you? Look back in time and see your future....

And his mom checked him out of the dorm and school while he stayed at home crying.

Just rowed back over there and found this gem

3. I think getting a job and moving out is a great idea. Why does your mom need to talk to 7-11
instead of you though?
Maybe you would feel less reliant on your parents and less that they are enabling you if you did it yourself.

Good luck - I hope you remain motivated!
That is an easy question to answer: He'll be in his room crying.

Loco, you are a pathetic piece of crap.  You couldn't handle dorm life/school, and you really think you will handle a little dose of real life(no matter how filtered by Mom and Dad)?  Then again it leads to fairly good reading material from DUmmyland.  Will be on standby for a "Told you so".

I can't believe nobody is suggesting he get a lawyer and file for disability.  He's a CLASSIC case.

Probably end up suing his parents for nuturing him through adulthood, or some other dumb shit.

Judging from what I heard of the last 'effort' and what the comments here are, I'd say that a team of flatulating horses could produce better music than Taverner.

Here's a DUmmy who sliced through the BS, and is NOT sending vibes, healing light, or photos of folded hands.

4. You have problems...

And from your past posts and experience I'd say
you aren't going to change. You seem big on excuses.

All the good advice you might get here is useless
if you don't act on it.

Good luck.

He needed a kick in the ass around ten years ago.

Damn it! First it was Amber giving clues that her story is a DOTY scam, and now LocoNuts.

I actually have much more faith that LocoNuts is a legit lunatic than Amber.
