Today is perhaps the best day of my life as an American.

Today I became eligible for Medicare.

Hooray Dependency!

Hooray using the force of law to use other people's money!

3. Enjoy!

I have been very happy, having it.

Luckily, all my doctors are comfortable with it as well.

Congrats on living long enough!

It's too painful to keep reading that thread.

They're all celebrating stealing from Americans.

I doubt the idiot contributed to it in any way.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

And generations of Americans, from the founders to those who crossed oceans to start new lives in freedom and liberty, are weeping somewhere.
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

If I saw the day I became eligible for Medicare as the 1000th best day of my life, I would consider a 45 ACP lobotomy.  Of course, if I were a Dummy, I guess it would have to be an overdose.

It's hardly a political issue. The only way to avoid it is to die.

They're taking money out of my SS for medicare but my doctors only take the insurance the wife has me covered with.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Will her employer drop spousal coverage?

This morning I heard that one of the airlines said that the Obamacare benefit for insuring kids up to age 26 was going to cost them 18 million next year.  Of course they will raise their costs to cover it.

How many ways are we going to be paying for Obamacare?

I seem to recall reading that UPS will be dropping spouse coverage for those whose spouses can get insurance thru their work. It was like 10 or 15 thousand employee spouses. I'm assuming that company will do the same.

edited to add:

I looked it up:

Obamacare strikes again!!!!
