That pilot must have a cast-iron pair.  I can't even imagine piloting what is a controlled water-crash with all that resistance and weight in a few seconds.  It mst be like landing a jet in sand!

Before 9/11 my cousin was doing well giving flying instructions to those fire fighting pilots from all over the world. They would come over and stay with him until they got certified. It was interesting talking to them....their broken English and my southern drawl made it even more interesting. :-)
