70o and raining right now,

I see little change in Temps. from when I was a kid and that is LOOOONG ago.
We opened up the camp on the lake in Maine mid June. I remember some small patches of snow still under the Pines.
Came July it was still a bit cold to swim but come a week or so the water was just fine. Days the temperatures were in the low 80's hot sun cool breeze.
Nights went down to low 60's and a fire in the fireplace or a Bonn fire was welcome.
The smell of the pine woods, the call of the Loons on the lake put one to sleep, then the thunderstorms that came rolling in, the sound of rain on the roof , Magnificent.
30 miles away back to home to pick up supplies was a pain, the heat emanated from the ground, the sound of the heat bugs and the still air, could not wait to get back to the lake.
Not so different today, temperatures in the low 80's nights high 50's.
We have our up and down years, some very cold with little snow, some mild with 8 foot drifts. Some years we get too much rain or too little, just how Mother Nature works.
Those that live in the south west know about the 12 noon temperatures of 105 and the midnight temperatures of 50 degrees.
Just Mother Earth going through her stages of reaction to the winds and changes to climate changes. All very normal as we look back in history to see civilizations destroyed by the inability to adapt to changing times.
