Everyone knows a good batch of fried chicken can only be improved by a stick of butter and a pinch of racism.
Paula Deen's cooking secrets:
1. Substitute butter for oil, shortening, lard, or grease.
2. In any recipe actually calling for butter, double the amount of butter. The excess will sweat off.
3. Substitute heavy whipping cream for milk or water.
4. Substitute molasses for sugar, corn syrup, or honey.
5. Never user non-stick cooking spray. All pans must be greased with butter.
