Nutcase nadin Is Not Surprised - Ever

I am not angry about the Civil Rights act

I am not able to get angry anymore. I am not surprised either, or shocked. This is the way things are gong, and have been going for oh since 1985 or so.

It is what it is, and the question is what are you going to do about it?

But angry? I don't have any more energy for that emotion. I expect things to get far worst. We are far from hitting bottom. This is but one more step in this...a big step...

So they will make abortion illegal. Perhaps try to get rid of the wimen's folks right to vote...on the list also, child labor, as in it is back. Living wage....well, we will be lucky if we keep the minimum wage. Workers protections? You jest.

And we have now the backbones of a police state.

This is where we are. And where we are going.

Those dystopias are looking more and more like prophecy.

Oh and voting...it's just part of the scenery. It could be useful, but hardly the end all, absolute thing that will slow down, let stop this process.

Yup, I am glad I don't have kids.

But none of this surprises me, or shocks me, or angers me anymore. The course we are following is sadly...highly predictable.

Wow, nadin is SO wise! Nothing ever surprises her!

This sounds suspiciously like her Rubicon-crossing trend detection back when that bluedog democrat woman was shot in Arizona. And the absolute final evidence of Rubiconness when Palin bitched about "blood libel".

She gets it.

2. So have I...but I am not surprised that a key
Part was struck down.

Not at all...in fact, I hate to say it, I expected it.

Of course it was the Voting Rights Act, not the Civil Rights Act, but what's a little detail to a trained historian?
She wishes she didn't know all this shit.

I recommend you look out and check climate change among others. If I had kids I would seriously be looking for another country. This way I can stay and do what I have been doing...fighting. It offers that luxury.

But as a child of a holocaust survivor, I would be looking to move. I expect this place to go down predictable lines. Those who don't know history are bound to repeat it.

Since the enabling act was passed it's clear where we are heading. And last week confirmed it, as well as indefinite detention of us citizens in the NDAA. Like all other states going there, it is all very legal.
