I want to live here...

If I live here, I would be collecting 46 million in income tax refunds...

I am accepting bids for room mates.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I just read about it today. Why is that not breaking news ? It's not an old story. It's a new story that just broke. What better topic to post in ?

If you post a new thread in breaking news there is a format that we request you use. I think it should be in the rules section.

If you post a story with just the link, either General Discussion or the Politics forum are where we ask you to do so.

Breaking news is the home page of CC to the public, what is posted there needs to be news stories of significance.
I understand that is a judgment call at times and much latitude is given but not everything a person reads should be posted there.
Also it is requested that a relevant picture associated with the story be posted if at all possible.

Full Title:IRS Sent $46,378,040 in Refunds to 23,994 ‘Unauthorized’ Aliens at 1 Atlanta Address

Quote
(CNSNews.com) - The Internal Revenue Service sent 23,994 tax refunds worth a combined $46,378,040 to “unauthorized” alien workers who all used the same address in Atlanta, Ga., in 2011, according to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA).

That was not the only Atlanta address theoretically occupied by thousands of “unauthorized” alien workers receiving millions in federal tax refunds in 2011.

In fact, according to a TIGTA audit report published last year, four of the top ten addresses to which the IRS sent thousands of tax refunds to “unauthorized” aliens were in Atlanta.

The IRS sent 11,284 refunds worth a combined $2,164,976 to unauthorized alien workers at a second Atlanta address; 3,608 worth $2,691,448 to a third; and 2,386 worth $1,232,943 to a fourth.
