Jeff Duncan questions IRS gun usage
http://www.politico.com/story/2013/06/jeff-duncan-irs-rifle-training-92662.html?hp=f2

Quote
Rep. Jeff Duncan wants to know why IRS law enforcement agents are training with AR-15 rifles.

As chairman of the House Homeland Security oversight subcommittee, Duncan (R-S.C.) toured a federal law enforcement facility in late May and noticed agents training with the semi-automatic weapons at a firing range. They identified themselves as IRS, he said.

“When I left there, it’s been bugging me for weeks now, why IRS agents are training with a semi-automatic rifle AR-15, which has stand-off capability,” Duncan told POLITICO. “Are Americans that much of a target that you need that kind of capability?”

Why would th e IRS be training with AR-15?????????? :wtf2:

Begs a bigger question for me.....how can a state, with reps like Joe Wilson, Jeff Duncan, Trey Gowdy, Mick Mulvaney that also produced senators like Jim DeMint and Tim , elect a RINO like Lindsay Graham? It just boggles my mind.

I guess one damn democrat and one RINO ain't to bad but still????????????????????????

Wasn't there a swat type team from the fish and wildlife agency that showed up at Gibson Guitars?

If the IRS goes to shut down a business or confiscate stuff, maybe they have their own police force.

That's a good candidate for worst nightmare. I'm getting goosebumps (not the good ones) just thinking about it.

I'm guessing that if you're "elite" enforcement at the IRS you've flunked out of every other alphabet soup except the TSA and/or night watchman at the putt - putt golf course.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Postal Inspectors are the oldest continuously serving law enforcement agency in the US. They have been around since the Colonial period. Ben Franklin was the first postal dick!

Well, at first glance, the whole image of "revenoors" going after stills in the Ozark backwoods "hollers" comes to mind, but I think that gig has been passed off to ATFE.

The whole issue of coming down on stills, of course, is one of non-payment of taxes. And the IRS loves that gig.

But yeah -- how many different "cops" do the feds need? Plus Barry's private Army, of course. He needs one of those.  :whatever:
Adams E2 Euphonium, built in 2017
Boosey & Co. Imperial Euphonium, built in 1941
Edwards B454 bass trombone, built 2012
Bach Stradivarius 42OG tenor trombone, built 1992
Kanstul 33-T BBb tuba, built 2011
Fender Precision Bass Guitar, built ?

The idea behind many agencies with narrow jurisdiction was to avoid a single powerful national police force. That was part of the Congressional argument against Hoover getting armed agents in the Bureau of Investigation. Hoover wanted his agency to have jurisdiction over all parts of the US Code.

Think about a single agency with 150,000 armed officers, under the control of one director.... can you say "DHS"? The DHS is Obama's Praetorian Guard, Republican Guard, or combination of SA/SS/Gestapo (choose your metaphor).

How do you say "Department of Homeland Security" in German?

Your question is rhetorical, but I'll answer it anyway.

Geheimestaatspolizei. GESTAPO for short.  :whatever:

Actually, it wasn't rhetorical. I'll use the full word, thanks!

Well, please use the correct spelling. I hosed it up in my first attempt:

I was thinking Pretorian guard reading the thread from the top, but your great mind beat me to it.
