Sen. Paul to Introduce Fourth Amendment Restoration Act of 2013

Jun 6, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sen. Rand Paul today announced he will introduce the Fourth Amendment Restoration Act of 2013, which ensures the Constitutional protections of the Fourth Amendment are not violated by any government entity.

"The revelation that the NSA has secretly seized the call records of millions of Americans, without probable cause, represents an outrageous abuse of power and a violation of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution. I

1. Seriously?

I knew Rand Paul was a joke, but this bill is pure amateur hour. It dictates to the federal courts how they should construe the constitution. Good luck with that, Rand.

You'd think a damn United States Senator could find at least one decent lawyer, even a law student, to look over this joke before running out to press with it. Of course, that's probably the point. Why bother drafting a real piece of legislation that might actually do something when you can whip out a one-liner and bitch about the judges for the next few decades?

53. The separation of powers

is a tough one for some people to understand, including Rand. It looks like he is one of those who thinks the courts are an unelected political branch. Probably does not even get the concept of legal review.

2. Paul isn't aware that a FISA warrant was approved in the Verizon case

This is why nobody takes him seriously. He doesn't know what the **** he's talking about.

10. Good.

I don't give a **** who it is, and in which Party, we need to stand up to the criminal actions our govt. has committed since 9/11 and will continue to commit if people stay quiet just because its "their guy" in office, as if he gives a flying **** about you personally.

14. This is a fundraising effort by Paul. He doesn't engage in serious efforts nt

I want to see Harry Reid put this up for a vote. Lets get people on the record as to how they feel about our privacy.

17. So how one feels about Rand Paul's legislation shows where they stand

on liberty?

23. On this issue, yes, of course.

What, am i supposed to be against him on everything because he's a Republican? Please, what a childish view that is.

24. "Yes, of course." Sorry, some of us aren't stupid enough to think that supporting Rand Paul

is the litmus test for whether one favors liberty.

**** Rand Paul, and his supporters.

30. Lol, people like you really have serious issues.

Because somebody has a different letter after their names they must be wrong on everything and your party right. Yeah, that always works out so well.

TRANSLATION: Liberty is of relative value based on party affiliation.

And that's exactly how the IRS came to be a Proglodyte tool of political suppression.

Just how often do members of the Supreme Court, come up for election?  :???:  :whistling:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Every 24 business months.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Every 24 business months.

And I guess it's almost that time because I've heard from a guy who claims to get the truth out that their next election is scheduled 24 business hours after Rove is indicted.

Order up for Daniel537. Daniel537 your peperoni and granite is ready.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
