I hope due process is served
  
I hope any and all suspects voluntarily avail themselves of due process; I hope they are provided an attorney before making any statements to police; I hope they are provided with notice of the charges against them; a reasonable determination of bail or no bail; access to compulsory process for evidence and witnesses in their favor; I hope all the evidence against them is admissible, and that no in admissible evidence is used against them at trial; I hope they are tried by an impartial jury and a judge with a good grasp of procedure and basis for objections; I hope they are provided with an opportunity to appeal their verdicts and are provided with effective and competent counsel in that appeal; I hope they are not subjected to cruel and unusual punishment; I hope that they are not executed; I hope that study of them for years can provide us with useful diagnostic information
