See, I knew this was racism

First, I saw this thread:

To all those who have been telling us for months . . .

. . . often in the most condescending manner possible, that this President will never propose Social Security cuts, and who told those of us who were trying to sound the alarm that we were either just chicken-little-sky-is-falling types who just didn't understand eleventy-dimensional chess, or that we somehow "enjoyed" complaining about the President and would seize on any opportunity to do so, since he has now officially proposed those cuts in the form of chained CPI, y'all can start apologizing any day now . . .

Down-thread we read:

Yesterday we were told, "everyone who opposes the cuts is just hiding behind poor people".

The referenced thread is then linked a scottch later and LO AND BEHOLD look who is being pilloried:

for just a moment? Those decrying the this Chain CPI thing are self-interested folks, hiding behind the elderly, the poor, the disabled and/or veterans.

This "concern" for the poor and elderly and disabled and veterans is a cannard, because those that will be affected WILL NOT be the elderly or the poor or veterans or the disabled; but those (non-poor, non-disabled, non-elderly, non-veterans) folks like me ... with (or planning on) some form of retirement income that is less than what we would like to have to live on.

But I understand the reason for the cannard ... it plays a lot better than "I want my SS with as much in COLAs as their willing to offer because I paid into it ... it's mine."

The fact is, from the beginning, every suggestion of instituting a CCPI has included statement indicating that these most vulnerable groups will be exempted from the change.

1SBM needs to realize a bunch of white proglodytes want to get that black guy out of their White House because he wants to cut into their gravy.

He should have known the only reason they allowed him come-in out of the fields was because they needed a new house servant.

How many times has 1SBM heard it said, "The Tea Party is racist. They only like West/Carson/Cain/etc because he says things they agree with him!"

Well, if that is the mark of racism I think 1SBM can see for himself the whites at DU on like Obama when he gives them things and says things they like to hear.

As soon as he doesn't it's a veritable public lynching.

Right?

Poor ol' 1dumbblackman really got a spanking on that thread he started.  Others questioned him on where he got his facts, to which he had to admit that he just trusts this administration to do the right thing. Brutal responses ensued.

Wonder what the chances are of 1sbm being the exact opposite of their screen name?

83. what repulsive bullshit.

The most vulnerable groups will be very badly hurt by this. Paul Krugman, Robert Reich and many others explain exactly why.

Look it the **** up.

But of course, we should believe YOU and your op that provides ZERO ****ing evidence for your spurious claims.

Er, not thanks.

Same thought here.

It was fun to read various threads where they go after each other.  It'll get worse now that Skinner took the thunderdome of Meta away.  They aren't happy unless they have something to complain about.

I wondered about that.  He/SH/it comes on waaaay over the top, quite often.  Seems to push it pretty hard, at times.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.
