DUmmies and the Roman Catholic Church
« on: March 22, 2013, 06:22:14 AM »
Full disclosure: I am NOT nor have ever been a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Full disclosure 2: I was going to stick this in one of the DUmp RCC threads, but there were several so I couldn't decide which one to use. I finally decided to just create a new thread. A mod can merge it if desired.

The beliefs of the Dummies/Dems are diametrically opposed to the core beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church.

So why would any DUmmie or Dem want to be a member of a group that holds such differing beliefs? Wouldn't it just be simpler to stop being a Catholic?

I decided to put my fictional spirit-guide mojo to work trying to determine an answer. It's still early here in fictional spirit-guide land so I don't know how coherent this will come across, but here goes.

While fundamentalist, Protestant Christian denominations have doctrinal differences with the Roman Catholic Church there are several areas in which the Protestant and RCC views are in step. The reason for these common areas of belief is that they are points that are spelled out plainly and emphatically in the Bible and are part of long-term moral/spiritual tradition.

A few of these common areas are:
1) The Bible is the word of God.
2) Jesus is the messiah.
3) Murder/abortion is a sin.
4) Homosexuality is a sin.

Some may find it ironic or strange that the areas in which the fundamentalist protestants and the RCC agree the strongest are the same areas in which the Dummies most strongly oppose the RCC, but it's really not strange or ironic at all.

First you must realize that once you change the core of something, it is no longer the same thing. For instance, if you rip out all of the parts that make a Chevrolet engine a Chevrolet engine and replace them with Ford parts, you no longer have a Chevrolet engine. You can call it a Chevrolet engine all that you like, but it doesn't change the fact that it is now a Ford engine.

It's the same with a religious denomination. Once you rip out the core, it's not the same denomination. You can call it by the same name, but it is no longer the same thing. In other words, if you change the core beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church, it will no longer be the Roman Catholic Church REGARDLESS of the name.

Now there are denominations that currently exist that falls within the twisted liberal belief system. The first that comes to mind is Unitarian Universalists. The UU is one of those funky-feel-good groups that have a belief system made of PlayDough. The Dummies could switch from the RCC to the UU and feel right at home. So why would they want to stay with the RCC and try to change the RCC instead of switching?

To answer that question we first need to ask who else wants to change the four core areas that the fundamental protestants and the Roman Catholic Church share in common? The answer would have to be Satan.

So the Dummies are essentially doing the work of Satan which really comes as no surprise since Satan is a master manipulator and Dummies are easily manipulated.

It's not so easy to blatantly wipeout a Christian denomination, but Satan knows that you can pervert (in other words change) something to the point that it still exists in name but is actually wiped out in fact. This is what is going on with the Dummies and the Roman Catholic Church. Satan's minions (i.e. the Dummies) are doing Satan's work trying to wipe out the RCC by perverting it away.

So why the RCC and not fundamentalist protestant groups?

They are working at that too. The Roman Catholics are just more visible and operate from a more central authority.

For new members and lurkers: I am a fictional spirit-guide with no smell whatsoever. I am part irish setter and part pigeon. If you don't smell any strange smells it means I'm probably standing next to you. As I am a fictional character anything I post should possibly be considered fictional.

Very well laid out; it's easy to see why you're such an awesome spirit guide.

When you ask why the RCC, I can think of a couple reasons:

We're a church with a clear heirarchy. It's easy to lay the blame on the guy who's in charge.

For whatever reason, the Catholic Church has been at the forefront at some of those big hot-button issues, life, etc. Because there are so many Catholic-run, private hospitals that won't do abortions, we're an easy DUmmie target.

Also, most of the non-public elementary schools are parochial. DUmmies HATE that there are kids not being indoctrinated into the government mindset.
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
