The Straight Story (40,123 posts)

In memory of Rachel Corrie. April 10,1979 - March 16,2003
Rachel Corrie was a human rights worker who was crushed to death by an Israeli soldier driving a bulldozer in 2003. She was trying to prevent the bulldozer from destroying a Palestinian family's home. She was just 23 years old. Saturday, March 16 is the 10th anniversary of her death.

This morning, here in red state hell, the Chamber of Commerce held its 10th Annual Rachel Corrie Memorial Pancake Breakfast, followed by the always popular bulldozer races.

All proceeds will be donated to the Caterpillar Corporation.

Rachel Corrie Day? The whole thing leaves me feeling flat.

They also had a Frisbee contest. It was a smash.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

This year instead of pancakes, our area of the country opted for a Pizza-thon.

This is a woman raised by liberal parents. She sided with terrorists and murderers. and she died in the name of terror. Rachel was filled with hate and rage. She is the poster child for progressive thought.

I do not weep for her. She is no martyr. The only sad thing is she never knew parents who wanted to raise her with honor and values.

Rachel reaped what she sowed. She earned her death. Good riddance.

About the best example of this Biblical truth that I know of.  H5.
