I see this as a progression of Evil.    Sort of like we think of gate way drugs. Start with tobacco, go on to booze then pot, and on to hard drugs to keep getting you higher. Comes to a point that if one gets at the top of the ladder they die.

Sex is the same thing really, sex is an inborn addiction that all living things have.   So some people keep needing more and more stimulus to get off and experiment looking for the ultimate experience.   When one gets bored with same old same old heterosexual sex the temptation to boost it up a level, a hooker, another male, then when they hit rock bottom  to animals and children.  

This is a sex addiction same  addiction as drugs.   Got to get some satisfaction. Drug addiction can be cured but not sex addition.

Is this a mental disease  --- I think so, these people are phycopaths that care about no one but their own selves and their own gratification of their addiction.

Their world revolves about their addiction, on the outside they are normal to others but when the addiction kicks in, then we get the serials killers and the monsters that rape and kill children.

When people complain about the death penalty, ask them if they would be willing to allow at any amount of money to take these people into their own homes  be they family or strangers ?????
Nothing can cure them, they are a danger to others and will always be.  

Dopamine addiction is the more likely cause of they going further and further with regard to stimulii. 

I don't think homosexuals are necessarily in the category.  Look at the number of them that were molested prior to or at the start of puberty.  Ted Bundy admitted to having been stimulated after he watched some show that involved female corpses.  I don't know if he was somehow pre-disposed to serial murder and that acted as a trigger or that started him down that path that he wouldn't have otherwise travelled.

1. As I noted in an earlier thread, it probably won't be long before we start seeing terms like "Pedophobia" regularly popping up on the DUmp.
2. Good point including the ACLU. They've regularly pushed to fully legalize the posession and distribution of child pornography on supposed 1st Amendment grounds. In other words, the only part of the child porn industry they think should stay illegal is its production, I guess because they're too stupid to realize that legalizing its posession and distribution will inevitably lead to an increase in its production.

Most addictions can't be cured but some can be controlled. I am an alcoholic. I will always be an alcoholic. I don't drink because the Lord has taken that urge from me. However, if I do drink will be back to walking that old familiar path. I can also make a case that most addicts have some genetic predisposition to becoming addicts. Oddly enough there is more evidence for this than their is for the genetic predisposition of homosexual behavior...

Now with that said, I do believe that there are some forms of extreme sexual addiction that the sufferer can't or won't control. Pedophilia seems to be one of these. There may be some examples of a pedophile being able to control his or her desires but the greater majority are unable to do so. I think that in some cases the expression of pedophilia is simply a desire for total control over an individual and since children are the easiest to control these control freaks have an attraction for children... of any sex. I think that true pedophiles target a specific sex and stick to it. I believe that these are the most dangerous and untreatable.

In our small neck of the woods the last 10 years have exposed molesters, caught by accident mostly or by greed and it is always a shock who these people are.  Everyone from school bus drivers,  Principals , teachers, public and private, to Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Lawyers and those working in government jobs.

Boggles my mind when I think of a large city of 100,000 or more and how the many more molesters are there.

Yep! That was the way it was up until 1973 and 1986! When the APA ceased being a  scientific entity and became a political arm of the left and a very vocal gay community.Shameful really since that was what I originally wanted to do with my life...(the psychiatric field)
