Tens of thousands of Americans who cannot get health insurance because of preexisting medical problems will be blocked from a program designed to help them because funding is running low.

Obama administration officials said Friday that the state-based “high-risk pools” set up under the 2010 health-care law will be closed to new applicants as soon as Saturday and no later than March 2, depending on the state.

But they stressed that coverage for about 100,000 people who are now enrolled in the high-risk pools will not be affected.

Another blow to Obamacare.  Remember the assertions of this administration the costs would go down for people and everyone would be covered?  First thing we found out was costs went up and there were still those who were not eligible for the insurance.

Then we found out many were going to lose their own insurance and be forced into an Obama plan with employers who not only fired people  but also optioned out and chose to pay the penalty.

So what we have here is an administration that not only lied about the consequences but drove up the cost for many Americans.

How about those Americans who barely scrap by but are still reguired to pay a penalty for not being able to pay for insurance?

Meanwhile Pelosi is moaning about losing a pay raise because it is below her dignity.

States were in dire financial straits before Obamacare because of their share of Medicaid payments (1 billion) owed to the Feds. It has gotten worse now. I retired from the state and my 2013 Medicare advantage plan thru them doubled. I got another plan that cost zero and has just as good of coverage. There is some hanky panky going on with LA health care plans cause they are lying out of their eye teeth about how much of the state's share of employees not on medicare and those on medicare is being remitted to the insurance companies.
