Are the primitives too sensitive about correction and criticism from their fellow primitives?
I'm not talking about correction and criticism (and laughter) from us; I'm talking about correction and criticism from other primitives.
I'm thinking about the oblate spheroid and the brain-damaged primitive here (although there's been others throughout the years); they just don't seem to like it when their fellow primitives find fault with their infallibility.
I dunno what to say about this attitude, if it's correct, that they don't like it and take it too personally.
Ever since franksolich was a little lad, he was sorely aware that every time he dared open his mouth--about anything, to anybody--that there would be repercussions, some of them not pleasant.
In fact, it got to where I grew up believing that comments were supposed to incite correction and criticism, and that something was wrong if they didn't.
And as a poster here, I get disheartened when any of my topics or comments fail to stir, when they're ignored. Much better to be yelled at than to be ignored or dismissed, "ho-hum."
Am I wrong, or are the primitives who can't handle this wrong?
