Imagine if tax refunds and military pay were delayed but welfare and unemployment payments weren't.   :fuelfire:

You mean like the last time the government "shut down"? Everyone in the military was given the briefing (on a Friday afternoon) "Even if no budget deal is reached, you are required to be here on Monday morning. We work whether we get paid or not."

I wonder if people on welfare get that briefing the other way around: "We get paid whether we work or not"?

IMO, the military should get paid first, then Welfare recipients gets paid after all the bills are paid...
I did my taxes last week thru Turbo Tax. Got accepted by IRS within 24 hours. Maine was three days later.... ::)

And my refund is supposed to be direct deposited tomorrow.  Guess it helps to get the jump.

Still, I am not filing zero dependents EVER again.
