This juror comment is alarming

What does "Hope his bullets misfire" mean exactly? That they want me to shoot a gun in which the bullets explode? That's a really messed up way to advocate against gun violence. All I posted was an excerpt from Infowars facebook page highlighting what a complete whack job Jones and his followers are. I posted a thread earlier today exposing how I thought Jones was a complete huckster. For the record I'm not a gun nut and I think there should be a higher degree of regulation in order to own a gun in this country. Juror #5, care to come out of hiding and defend your comments?

...it's disgusting and childish.

It amazes me how people can't disagree with a tad more grace and tolerance. FTR, I'm not a fan of your hidden post, but I sure as hell wouldn't wish for your accidental death. I think you can alert on jury results, and you should. Nothing will come of it, but it might be one more straw.

2. Yours was one of many Alex Jones posts today, and the asshat doesn't need the publicity on DU of all places. There is a history behind Alex Jones supporters being PPRed on DU, and a favorite troll tactic is to appear to be strongly "against" something as a ruse to give it more exposure.

Regardless of your motives for posting this trash, I agree that the juror comment is way out of line.

The reference you cite warns against firing a fresh cartridge when the barrel is obstructed.

It notes that an apparent mis-fire may prove a hang-fire, where the cartridge detonates tardily, and cautions against hasty extraction of the mis-fired cartridge.

It is possible, though not very likely, a cartridge could squib, and send the bullet up the barrel a bit, providing an obstruction, but it ought to be immediately apparent on removing the brass whether the bullet is still there on it or not.

Quick tip: if all you know is what you turned up on a quick Google to Wikipedia, do not bother posting it up; the result will not be pleasant in almost every instance.
