Former President George H.W. Bush remains in a Houston hospital, where he has been for seven days as doctors battle a lingering cough that has drawn concern, officials said Thursday.

Bush, 88, has bronchitis, but his condition is not considered life threatening, said his chief of staff, Jean Becker.

"President Bush is in the hospital," Becker said. "We have kept this quiet out of respect for him."

Bush has been in and out of Methodist Hospital for a few weeks, and was most recently admitted the day after Thanksgiving, she said. He was visited there Sunday by his son, former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura.

Wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

I heard this on the radio and my heart fell out until they said he was okay. I thought for sure they were going to say he died and we were going to have to see the DUmpmonkeys doing the jig on his grave.

I'm sure some DUmmies are hoping to push him into an early grave so they can dance on it.

Oh they would never admit to dancing on a grave......they would just claim to be packing the loose dirt down.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948
