1. Makes you wonder how bad off their employees would be without Walmart.

One would think they can't get better jobs or they would be elsewhere.

5. Life is difficult for small businesses that don't compete with Walmart too.

It's not Walmart, it's the general advantage we give to big businesses, making the tax code so difficult to navigate that only the largest can take advantage, making it all but impossible for small businesses to get decent affordable healthcare...

I hear Dodd Frank is 400 pieces of regulation. How is the small community bank supposed to keep up with that?

The expertise needed by the poor soul trying to start and run a small enterprise is mind boggling. It doesn't even need Walmart to make it hard. 
The feeding frenzy starts, then guess who shows up?

There are several in that thread claiming to own (or at one time owned) businesses. In real life, I have never personally met a person who owns a business and is a liberal.

That's been my experience as well but then I remembered I know several dummie types who sell their artistic wares and I doubt actually pay taxes at all and everyone claims themselves to be a small business owner. I think that's where the disconnect there is. A bunch of dumb asses selling on etsy or eBay or in craft shows and specialty shows and dodging taxes. It's the only way they have a disconnect since they are yard salers compared to a real small business person.

IN 30+ years of being self employed and hiring people, I didn't have but a couple of employees that didn't know more about running my business than I did. Those couple were conservative and went on to own and run successful businesses of their own.

Yeah I was thinking of legal avenues and it occurred to me I have a friend whose dummie wife calls her two resale/repurposed junk etsy stores 'small businesses'. I doubt she does quarterly taxes or any at all so she has no concept of what it's like for a real small business person who has to make payroll and all that grown up stuff and I know many like her. I have nothing against doing that but just hate that liberals think yet are in some way equivalent to the small business owner we know is hurt by people like Obama. Most of their business is really under the table so there is no equivalency. They would stare at you cross eyed if you discussed filing quarterly taxes and inevitably many who do grow end up having tax problems because thy thought for sure those tax laws didn't apply to them mm how do they expect me to make a living?  The smart ones turn conservative with that realization and the dummies will blame the bigger business for having enough resources to compete where they can't without acknowledge its the government eh has made thief playing field uneven to the extent It is.

Thats probably what most of their businesses are - the internet equivalent of lemonade stands. Actually, my small hosting/web design etc business pretty much qualifies as a lemonade stand itself, however, I do make a point of keeping all of my yearly financials, and I make certain that the accountant deals with it all properly.   

I suspect most of the primitives take the money and run, instead of doing their "patriotic duty" and paying their fair share of taxes.

Oh yes and I was in no way dismissive of such things just I know that the dummies have a disconnect because they don't run their 'small business' like a business at all. They do exactly what you said: take the money and run with no clue of their little venture might be costing them more then its actually providing. I also notice on those etsy site they have no problem marking up their thrift and yard sale finds 200 and 300 percent. I guess evil profiteering doesn't apply to them anymore then those patriotic taxes do lol

I've met a few--but can't think of too many who were liberal when they started out.  Only when they had made it did their liberal roots show.
