"the perfect is the enemy of the good"
I keep seeing this phrase by Voltaire being used on the island, though I believe the correct version is "The best is the enemy of the good."
It matters not. The hard-core cultists use it to try and justify why Dear Leader didn't fulfil all he promised by saying that when perfect wasn't achievable, he settled for what he could get.
Could you imagine having a surgeon with that attitude? You wanna go under the knife with him in charge?
I never see the primitives talk about how they would get China, India, etc... to stop expelling CO2. Most I've seen from any lib sources is some type of UN resolution and fines imposed, but that's a laugh.
