I've been reading Dr. Hanson for years on his
Private Papers site as well as on
NRO and
PJMedia.
A classicist and historian, his writings are refreshing in their depth and incisiveness. Whenever I want to get a broader view of society, I turn to Dr. Hanson. There is no one, except Thomas Sowell and a few others, that can bring such an historical perspective to everyday events.
