Imagine belonging to a party that can only win if it lies and cheats...

I think that is what is making it most difficult for me to accept friends and family and neighbors who are "willfully Republican". If things were being played straight up and it was ideological differences, that's one thing - but what we are seeing - from Romney, Ryan, Rove/his super PACs, the ads, and the news items about Bain's association with Ohio voting machines, destruction of Dem voter registration forms, the crowing about 4 years of obstruction and doing nothing for Americans - you name it.

I just don't know how they can live with themselves, never mind be close in this election.

You don't have to imagine that, you are part of a party that only wins when they lie and cheat.

Quite easily actually, since everything in the OP is a lie.

2. The problem is the average Republican doesn't think they are lying or cheating

They have an entirely different viewpoint. In their minds, they are the party of truth, liberty, patriotism, etc. They do not think they are doing or saying wrong or dishonest. They think we are the ones doing all of the lying and cheating. Until they start believing in facts which they currently refuse to acknowledge, this tet-a-tet between the parties will continue.

Well you are doing all the lying and cheating. Hell 90% of you are hoping like hell that Gloria Allred will come out with a believable enough lie to sink Romney.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I wonder how many Republican precints report more (R) votes than there are people in that precinct.
