Shooting reported at Wisconsin spa
Hospital spokeswoman Nalissa Wienke tells CNN all four people in the emergency room appear to have non-critical injuries. She could not say whether the injuries were due to gunshots. At this time, the hospital does not believe it will need more staff, she said.

Numerous emergency vehicles are at a spa in Brookfield, Wisconsin, as local news agencies report a shooting took place.

That is an Observation Post (OP) along the border between West and East Germany in 1962. The Soldiers are Cavalry Scouts assigned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. The 3rd ACR deployed to Europe in response to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Those Cav Troopers truly held the line, in the Cold War that was never really cold.

The primary mission of that OP: observe a specific section of the border and report any troops, equipment, or activity. Secondary mission: engage enemy troops who enter their field of fire with the M60 machine gun.

I find parallels to the relationship between CC and the DUmp.
