Karen, did you ever slap one of 'em when they did that? (not that I am sure you didn't want too, and if not why not?)

No, I didn't.  This was the days before sexual harrassment awareness.  I needed the job.  Who are they going to believe?  A gladhanding popular powerful dude, or the girl?  I didn't mean to hijack the thread.  I just continue to be so repulsed by the likes of Joe Biden.

He also reminds me of Ted Baxter.

"Umm, Great Father and Teacher, will you be spreading your awesomeness even more gloriously in your second term, and will you need a third to finish your great work?

They're gonna do that even if Mitt wipes the floor with him. I have no doubt.

Absolutely.  Unless Obama bumbles in a huge way that can't be overlooked, he will almost certainly be declared the winner, regardless of reality.

68 million in the US or World Wide.  ???

One of my great mysteries is how anyone can tell or give a number to the number of people watching anything on TV.

How do anyone know if people do turn to a channel leave the thing on, go out for dinner and thieves will believe there is someone at home.  How about people that fall asleep just before the debates begin and have no idea what went on.

Trying to remember back when the Nielson ratings started.  All I can remember is 500 or so special boxes were set on peoples TV,s and show ratings from these boxes could make or break a program. This was volunteer for invasion of privacy.

If Technology can find how the numbers of people tuned into a program, why not go one step up and be able to track down the individuals who's set is turned on to a program.   Great alibi in criminal cases, I was home watching a re run of Gilligan's Island when my wife went missing--don't believe me, call the cable company.

Have to remember sports bars that have 20 TV's all turned to the debate and perhaps 20 out of 150 are partly watching.

I have no idea of the US population at this time, nor do I trust Polls or those that tell us how many people watched what.

I am still hopping mad that one of my favorite programs was canceled because it ONLY drew 5,000,000 viewers. The Anamil Clinic with the star a monkey that was one heck of an actor.

Now I grant you that it has been a long time since I have been in a Sports Bar (and not, it wasn't Rosie's Cantina in Groton, it was the next one down) but I doubt all their TV's would be tuned to the debate. Too many games too little time in a good sports bar.  Have you even ever been to a real sports bar?    :argh:  I don't know if there are any in this area, maybe if you go towards Dover?

Not sure how they figure out viewership, but sports bars? Yer kiddin', right?

They seem to be pretty damn accurate on viewership, so I believe the numbers. They have to rely on viewers in order to get commercial accounts, so I'm sure they have a way.

Ah ok then. This should be a round 2 knockout. Even if Crowley is tagging with Bama then.

The MSM has already alluded to the fact that she will.

Another thing, the MSM will not approach the fact that the pResident had to sequester himself for several days to prepare for this.

Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

If understand correctly this one is going to be a townhall style deal where the audience asks questions. Do they screen the questions?

Evidently Gallup picked these undecided voters. The weird thing is, they're all from NY. You'd think they'd have it in a truly swing state, more breadbasket.

Well, well - according to Fox & Breitbart - Crowley will now be also asking her own questions.

I can only assume there weren't enough Romney bashers on the index cards she pre-screened. Why am I not surprised..  :whatever:
