I watched the Reuters livestream at the parliament building on S29. Did they get it out beyond that?  
More whining that the anarchists weren't covered.

Serious, we had a recent shooting of a sheriff officer, two actually. We continued on to the fire when we heard over the scanner that the perp was not accounted for. Editor was not unhappy we took that decision, even if we were THIS CLOSE to the shooting. THIS FAR!
It took twenty minutes for cops to find perp... and personally I am allergic to high speed lead, or batons.
Locally one station forbid photo journalists from Occupy, and that one, (Since I have faced it too, I fully believe it) was paranoid kids getting really stupid. Yup, I was verbally assaulted at an occupy... I got real assertive and kid backed down. Oh BS.

You know, for the longest time, the oblate spheroid's had a habit that really grates me.

She refers to "Occupy San Diego" as "my occupy" or "my little occupy" or "my dear occupy."

It's like she's referring to them as miniature animals in a zoo, and a zoo that she owns.

Ok, I may be picking a nit here but considering that the bald dwarf is widely understood to be an expert on such matters...I believe the term is "sheriff's deputy" not sheriff officer.

Ehh...she's probably right though, who am I to question teh gNads?

As usual Nads takes a good thread and makes it all about her.

We are missing the much bigger story, and a potential view into our near future. The OP deals with an occupy style threat to the Spanish govt. They intended to surround the Spanish congress (at least that is what they said). The Spanish govt rightly saw this as a potential coup or threat. The police were far tougher on the protestors as a result.

Our own occupiers have come out and said all the "Peaceful protest talk" was just a smokescreen, the real goal is revolution and violence is part of that. There is a thread somewhere here at CC discussing this.

All that said, the rioters in Spain may have just revealed the future of Occupy in America. Violence against elected leaders. Up to now they've been a nuisance contained by city police, the next evolution may be more direct.

Maybe the reason the M$M isn't showing the protests around the world is because those protests are sparked by the fact those nations are broke and can no longer afford to pay for their welfare junkies and now the junkies are rioting.

If they showed that on the news Obama would be 30 points behind in the polls.
