Most of us just met this primitive today, or yesterday; the lily-white one trying to pose as a black one.

Where do they sell strawberry-flavored ice cream sandwiches?
Whenever I go shopping at Safeway or Lucky, the only flavors I see are mint chocolate chip, chocolate, neapolitan, and plenty of vanilla. But I never see any strawberry ice cream sandwiches, and strawberry happens to be my favorite part of the Neapolitan sandwiches. Do they even sell strawberry ice cream sandwiches in stores, or am I out of luck?

1. talk to the store manager
That is how they know what you are looking for.

2. Would you consider going to an ice cream parlor where they make them?
Otherwise, you may be out of luck.

3. you could make your own, maybe?
Buy those thin Nabisco dark chocolate cookies, and spread slightly softened strawberry ice cream. Wrap each one in plastic wrap, and into the freezer.
^^the pie-and-jam primitive, who's probably a shoo-in for inclusion in the Top Ten DUmmes of 2012, somewhere.

5. You could make something very lovely and almost replicate the taste but BETTER!
Using a Loaf Pan..... drape a piece of Plastic wrap inside...with edges coming all the way up the sides.....This will help you un-mold.
Mix a good Strawberry Ice cream with a bit of frozen sweetened strawberries.
Layer the Ice cream fruit mix with crushed Lorna Doone Cookies....(Or home made shortbread if you are ambitious)
You should have about three or four layers beginning and ending with cookies.
Cover with plastic wrap and freeze firm
When you are ready to un mold quickly dip the bottom of the loaf pan in hot water...then you should be able to pull the whole loaf out of the pan pretty easily using the plastic wrap to pull
Place loaf on a pretty plate and serve with chocolate dipped Lorna Doones and whipped Cream

6. Skinny Cow has them.
They call them "strawberry shortcake" sandwiches, but they're really just swirled strawberry and vanilla ice cream. They come on a graham cracker-type cookie, rather than chocolate, if that makes a difference. Most grocery stores carry Skinny Cow, although some don't have a very big selection of the flavors available. I'm sure that Safeway carries them, and likely Lucky, too. If your local Walmart or Target carry any frozen foods at all, you'll find them there, as well.
Here's the web site: http://www.skinnycow.com/products/detail.aspx?id=18
The "store finder" does not seem to be working right now.
Skinny Cow treats are kind of pricey, but you can often find sales. And, if you sign up with them, they sometimes have coupons to print out. Sometimes, they're in the Sunday paper, too.
