One of the reasons I have read is that the polling firms are using the party identification numbers from the 2008 elections. Why they do not use the ones from the 2010 elections I could not say.

What over sample?

Out of 850 respondents, 957 were Democrats; just as ACORN said they would be.

Non-Gallup polls don't exist.

By the way, do we hereby swear not to pretend Gallup is intimidated by Axelrod if the tie in that poll turns into a pro-Obama advantage some time in the future?

The Obama campaign is already trying to tell people to not look at the national polls, only the ones in swing states.

They are using the same as 2008 and including all the states obama won in 2008. They are not using 2010 because it will show that obama is losing.

If you look at it in a 'REALITY' lens, you will see that this is not good for obama. All the over sampling of dems and they are tied. That tells me that obama is done.

This site (http://www.unskewedpolls.com/) takes the media polls and puts them with an average of the 08 an 10 electorates

They have Romney up by an average of 7.8 points.
