to it's DOOM!
It eluded me for a day. Too fast. But human ingenuity won out.
Lamp by lamp, each room went dark. The fly always retreated towards the light. So I drove him to the last sactuary of light..the bathroom. Once inside I flung the door shut...and it was just me and him.
Two went in...only one comes out. I had a secret weapon for Mr Speedy Gonzales: It was a spray bottle of Clorox Cleanser with Bleach. I had an area of effect weapon! I could only imagine how it would sting on those compound eyes.
I blasted him on the wall but he took flight. again he landed and again I sprayed him. He took to the air, but was slower. In mid air I caught him, and down he went, to the floor. More spray, and I could hear his little screams.
He was still when I gently picked him up with the tissue. I dropped him in the toilet and the water revived him somewhat. I saw its legs kicking as I flushed him to a watery grave.
I laughed at his desperate struggles. Silly fly. Resistance is futile. Death is the only fate that befalls invertebrates that invade the domain of Mannn.
Still I have to wonder. The fly was kicking when I flushed him. Could he still be alive, washed up on some forgotten sewer shore? Is he blind, or did the water cleanse the bleach from his eyes? Is he telling horrid stories about his near death experience...or is he swearing bloody revenge?
Bring it on, Bug. I'm ready no matter what.
