Ryan's dog whistle about the "consent of the governed"...

...as if to say to the most right-wing conservatives (Tea Party) that they are not being governed legitimately. Obama was not duly elected. They have never believed that Obama deserved the Presidency and they have supported McConnell and Boehner opposing everything he has tried to do since the day he took office. Ryan threw this little biscuit over the fence for them to fight over. No doubt, Ryan will be very popular with this portion of his Party.

Hey Ken****, for 8 years we heard that Bush wasn't duly elected and you didn't believe he deserved the presidency. So for you to criticize the other side for this makes you a hypocrite, of course you are also lying about us thinking he wasn't duly elected, he was but he had a shit ton of help from the media.

Here's a dog whistle just for you Ken****, kiss my ass.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

How many times are we going to hear the term "dog whistle" in the next 85 days or so?

Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

Kentuck...if you are reading this your OP is wrong in a key point.

Ryan's statement about "consent of the governed" was not questioning Obama's election, but rather his forging ahead with policies against the will of the American people. the 2010 election was what happens when the governed no longer give their consent. You will see it again in 2012.

This was a public service for the lurkers at DU. You're welcome.

The policies and legislation passed under the boy king have been universally opposed by the American people by over 60% with low 30s for them.  Almost 2 to 1 0bama's policies and those of the democrat party are opposed. That is what it means you stupid DUchebags.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Kentuck, what I took away from the consent of the governed quote was that it was a reference to Barack Hussein O'Whistle Britches pushing Obamacare through with dirty backroom deals and recess appointments when congress wasn't in recess, stuff like that you buffoon.  Although I do believe he does not deserve to be president, I accept that he was duly elected.  Will the Dummies show President Romney the same courtesy?

NO they won't. They will be screaming election fraud for the rest of their lives, just like they are doing for Bush. Every election they lose was a stolen election.
