Zambian miners kill Chinese supervisor and injure another in pay dispute
Source: Guardian

Zambian miners killed a Chinese supervisor and seriously wounded another on Saturday in a pay dispute at the Collum coal mine, labour minister Fackson Shamenda said on Sunday.

Chinese companies have invested more than $1bn in Zambia's copper industry, but animosity towards them is growing as Zambian workers accuse firms of abuses and underpaying.

Workers at Collum, 325km (200 miles) south of the capital, Lusaka, attacked Chinese bosses, demanding wage rises in line with those stipulated by the government last month.

...

China, which is hungry for resources, is investing heavily in Africa, a supplier of oil and raw materials such as copper and uranium, but critics have warned that its companies are importing their poor track record on workers' rights.

Capitalism is a failed system especially for the worker

This idiot bloviates about imperialism and then ignores it right under it's nose.  Chinese company, huh?  Try Chinese state-owned company.  Yeah, they'll treat the workers like crap, why not when they will do worse to their own countrymen.

Hey DUmmies, if the Chinese called it the East India Company would you have a clue then?

So Zimbabwe wouldn't exploit their own coal, only capitalistic colonial power would. According to Elizabeth Warren we should copy China...who are copying our raping of others national resources.

They're worried about Africa and China while the US taxpayer and industry is getting raped by the leftist bloodsuckers in this country.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Once again they are championing socialism and communism.

As if they were going to do anything else.  It the same old story.  Socialism can never be at fault because nobody's ever done it right.

Professor Birkenstock said so...... ::)

Funny, Free-Market economies evolved into the greatest wealth generating systems the world has ever know.  It has lifted more people our of poverty than had inhabited the planet in all it's prior history.

It hasn't needed a do-over.

That's what happens when a system evolves in the crucible of real-world reality and not off the blackboard.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.
