1. Depends upon the Administration's response.

I've come to the conclusion that the White House won't do anything they calculate will negatively impact the results of the election. If they think that a war with Iran will be a net plus or even neutral, they might well go along with Netanyahu, even if it gets the U.S. into a much wider regional conflict and everything that goes along with it. That would, I gather, make some of the neocons quite happy.

Whatever credit might accrue to Mitt for his support of Israel would be countered by support for Obama when he responds.

Similarly, any blaming of Obama would be countered by reasoned arguments that Mitt was really out to bomb Iran.

I don't see it helping or hurting either.

Let's hope we don't ever find out.

"Peaceful resolution", "consulting our allies", followed by, "No boots on the ground", "Iran brought this upon themselves", "..we will support Israel in trying to find a peaceful resolution", "The fleet is only protecting our vital national interests", and finally..

If Israel attacks Iran before November and obama doesn't side with them, he is toast. If anything I think obama will side with Iran. He has to stick with his brethren you know. Also look for him to call out the Muslim Brotherhood to go after Israel. Either way, obama is done in November.

Yep. O is stalling for Iran to get the bomb...then no one can attack them.
I think if Israel called O ahead of time to let him know they were about to attack, O would tip off the Iranians.  
Now with the election coming up, O has no choice but to back up Israel.

You know. With the way obama treated Netanyahu. I think Israel should attack Iran just to fry obama. Everyone knows that obama hates Israel, and this would give Netanyahu the perfect opportunity to pay Barry back for kicking him in the teeth.
