the longer that Chik Fil A stays in the headlines, the worse for our side

 - boycotting is one thing, and is not the problem.

- politically trying to block businesses from opening stores based on the personal bigotry of the ceo was a mistake. Rahm and the Boston mayor ****ed up. They gave the right wing bigots the ability to, amazingly, claim the high ground. It is simple not okay to block a business from doing business based on the personal opinions of the ceo, as long as the business doesn't discriminate in hiring or serving.

We've now given the right wing their new "ground zero mosque" or "war on christmas" to whip up their base and change the subject away from romney for the next several weeks.

Mr. Cathy is a bigot. As long as that bigotry is not manifested in his hiring and serving policies, it is perfectly legal for him to be an asshole bigot. And boycotting his businesses is a valid and justified response. But Chicago and Boston governments CANNOT bloc him from opening up stores. That *is* government intruding on free speech. We've now amazingly turned Mr. Cathy into the victim, and a sympathetic figure.

LET IT SINK.

Sometimes our side is politically stupid. Calling for a boycott should have been all we did... Not Rahm's stupid overreach.

4. I think the people that line up outside CfA in 95° heat are the lunatic fringe.

They were probably going to vote for Mittens anyway so worrying about them is pointless.

I think you're confusing a restaurant with a polling place, DUmbass. I get what you're trying to imply, but if you were smarter, your words couldn't be turned back around on you like that. Dolt.

17. calling it out is proper. using govt apparatus (aka Rahm) is NOT.

That's where the ****up occurred.

9. Agreed.

From the minute I heard about this I knew it would be a mistake for the progressive side to engage.

Sometimes it is best for ignorance and bigotry to be be treated as not worthy of response.

Mr. Cathy is exactly that kind of person.

And yet, you all predictably did.

For the record, as per your second line, I guess I should not have responded.

It could have just said "our side is stupid." It would have saved it a lot of time.

Mr. Cathy is a bigot.
Mr. Cathy has an opinion.  There is a difference.  Just because your stupid, silly ass does not agree with it does not make him one.

Mr. Cathy said nothing against anyone. He spoke IN FAVOR of traditional marriage. How, exactly, is that bigoted?

Yesterday proved once again why democrats always have to lie about what they believe in and intend to do.
The vast majority of the population does not like the open, festering putridness of it nor like it being forced at them.

You're right.  I had to go look up his original comments since nobody seems to be repeating them.  I had assumed he explicity said something about gay "marriage" based on the reaction I'm seeing from moonbats, queers, and liberals.

0bama and the senate democrats just got 4 points cut out from under them.

Not to worry, the polls will simply add 4 more points to those +9 donk sample sizes.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

They never do seem to express any concern about sample size.

They assiduously ignore any polling data that might not look so good (although DUmmie WI_Dem sometimes brings it up).

But the DUmmies like prosense, kpete, cali, applegrove blah blah blah never question the sampling.

They are almost like operatives (or professional DUmp posters) that are just trying to keep the DUmp bucked up or something.
