At an event in London, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said, "I'm looking forward to the bust of Winston Churchill being in the Oval Office again."President Obama famously sent Churchill's bust back to Britain soon after coming into office. As the Telegraph reported then: A bust of the former prime minister once voted the greatest Briton in history, which was loaned to George W Bush from the Government's art collection after the September 11 attacks, has now been formally handed back. The bronze by Sir Jacob Epstein, worth hundreds of thousands of pounds if it were ever sold on the open market, enjoyed pride of place in the Oval Office during President Bush's tenure. But when British officials offered to let Mr Obama to hang onto the bust for a further four years, the White House said: "Thanks, but no thanks."

Ya know what? I think that Romney should find the sword of a British naval officer who had surrendered to an American naval officer in, say, the War of 1812, and return that to the Queen. I think that this would be taken as a mending of the relationship between the US and the UK--and maybe make it better than it had been.
Where is the bust now if it's not in the Oval Office?
But the British Embassy in Washington has now confirmed that it sits in the palatial residence of ambassador Sir Nigel Sheinwald, just down the road from Vice President Joe Biden's official residence. It is not clear whether the ambassador plans to keep it in Washington or send it back to London.
Romney has class. I like him more everyday. He is also doing something that obama hasn't done yet - That is going to Israel. Name a time that obama went?
He "promises" to go if re-elected . . . Yeah, that ain't happening!
