How Can Situations Like The Colorado Theatre Shooting Be Prevented?
Written on Saturday, July 21, 2012 by Dennis Marcellino

Why didn’t these things happen in the 1950’s? Why didn’t we need airport screenings then? Why didn’t people need to lock their house or car doors then? The answer is simple. There was more order then (especially in families) … which then naturally released more love and peace and security. I lived through it so I know that to be true personally. But a person can verify what I’m saying by listening to the music back then and watching the TV shows and movies. There was a different feeling in the air … even in the most impoverished communities. There was a patriotism in a country that we could be proud of and be united behind. Can we really be proud of today’s music and morals?

Here’s what it boils down to. There is a greater tolerance for “sin” now. And the natural, inbred reaction to sin is anger … to “correct” it and to implement “justice.” But political correctness has not only forced people to swallow that sin, but they even are arrested or sued for trying to speak out against it. But then at some point it explodes … in situations like these and domestic violence, even to the point where adults murder their families. We’re seeing it more and more in the news, whereas I never saw it in the news when I was growing up. The immorality of today’s society has made it very difficult to create and maintain a good marriage and family. And the feelings tied to marriage and family are VERY powerful … and therefore the anger to correct also is great.

Me too....that was before moonbats got to be in charge with their touchy-feelly way of running things. Back when you could whip a kid...when a winner was a winner and a loser was a loser and people didn't mind pointing out which was which.

Well, how many of these things happen in right-to-carry states, and in locations where the proprietor does not exercise the option to bar private weapons?

We need more gun control and community organizers.

Oh how I had to strain to say that. My nuts are gonna hurt for a week.

After an atrocity the community affected has their "come to Jesus" moment but alas that moment is fleeting and it's back to the same ol same ol as before. Stick with Jesus he won't lead you to it if he won't lead you through it.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

There have always been crazy people killing many people before mvies and TV and such. The problem is you can't stop people that are determined to do harm to others and sometimes it's impossible to know when they will strike. 9/11 didn't happn because those people saw to many episodes of the A Team or they had heard Ozzy to many times. Jack the Ripper didn't need Marylin Manson to make him go off the rails. So many examples and none of them needed one mass media outlet to convince them to kill anyone or a gun to do it.

I think one thing that will help is putting the OWS on the domestic terrorist watch list.

I agree. However I do wonder just how much people have been desensitized to violence, because of our modern culture. And NO I'm not saying that we need 0bama to step in and regulate tee vee, movies, and music, and so forth so it has no violence or anything like that, but it is a bit ironic if you think about it that people going to see a movie with a ton of people getting killed and stuff blowing up, for entertainment ended up getting shot for real. And, don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying they were at fault, I totally blame the shitstain that pulled the trigger, but I do see a little bit of irony in it.
