My response to my fundie cousin's fb petition to repeal ACA:
It will save the country money and contribute to the public health. You won't be paying to bail out hospitals because poor people wait until they're desperate to go to a doctor and the only doctor available is at an emergency room. Also, less chance of epidemics spreading because again, poor people will get preventative healthcare (less expensive than emergency care) before infecting everyone with their illness. All other first world countries offer socialized healthcare, this isn't even socialized - it's paying into the private sector. As such, it will create more jobs in the private sector. Final point I'd like to make: this makes our country more Christian since Christ was big on giving comfort to the poor and healing the sick.

Secondly when insurance companies have to now cover every hangnail and can't even help spread the costs by asking for a $4 copay for Sandra Fluke's birth control, just what do you idiots think will happen to premiums? As for this being Christ like, show me one just one quote where he said that the government should take care of the poor, you can't because every time he mentioned the poor he told the individual to reach in their own pocket and give to the poor, he didn't say reach in your rich neighbor's pocket.

I also liked the simple way Congressman George Miller put it on "The Ed Show" last night......."The American people now have access to affordable health care that can't be taken away."
It used to be affordable meant that prices were..... well affordable. George Orwell was smiling when the dems named this bill.

7. A friend's new company offered their employees $104 a month
Health insurance, dental insurance, disability insurance and life insurance. Because so many signed up the price dropped. This is in place for them without force and this can happen in other places also.
Just wait until next open enrollment, I guarantee most of DU will be bitching about the greedy insurance companies raising rates once again.
One thing they didn't figure in, since everyone will be forced to buy in, that any money gained from making them pay in will go right back out, human nature is, if I'm paying for something, especially by force, I'm going to use it, so all these new people will be seeing the doctor for every sniffle and sneeze.
Our Republic is dying and these idiots are cheering. Mark my words DUmmies, every power that 0bama assumes for himself can be used by Romney when he is sworn in, so if he acts like 0bama you can NOT complain, even though you will.
