Mom given bill to clean street after son killed by illegal immigrant

GREENVILLE, SC –  A grieving mother told a South Carolina court she was slapped with several bills, including one to clean the street after her son was killed by a drunken driver last year.

Loretta Robinson spoke on June 19 of the emotional and financial toll her son Justin Walker's death had on her as the driver Anna Gonzales, who is an illegal immigrant, pleaded guilty in the case.

Robinson told the judge she has been unable to work due to the emotional impact of her son's death, and can't pay the bills she keeps receiving from the accident even though her son was not at fault, WYFF reports.

"I had to pay to have the vehicle towed," she said according to WYFF. "I had to pay for the vehicle removed and to clean up the street from Justin's blood on the ground."

Robinson said the $50 bill to clean the street stung the most.

"First of all, having to open the mail and look at the charge to the deceased, Justin Darryl Walker -- the deceased! It's just a hard thing to deal with in the context of your child," she said according to WYFF.

Robinson says she doesn't expect to get any money from Gonzales. The state's victim assistance fund has provided some money, but it primarily covers funeral, medical and counseling expenses.

Gina remember when the fads Court Shows became such a big hit ?  There had to have been 6-7 so called Judge Judy's on every day.    Good thing was we were educated in how to keep the shysters at bay and protect ourselves from them.

I see today we need a new reality show that educates us in the unthinkable consequences of getting out of bed in the morning.

One thing that strikes me.......Fire department here shows up at every call.  I have seen them washing the blood from the street.  They are already being paid for that time.  Why should she or anyone else have to pay extra for that when it's already paid for?

Who would you sue ?????   How much in damages can you claim ??  True the bill to tow a car that belongs to a driver that killed a family member is odd as is the bill to clean up the street.

    This is akin to having someone set fire to your home and expect you to pay the cost of the fire department to put the fire out. The Arsonest should be charged, make it a requirement for Parole in the future.

Thank your environmental liberals for that. It doesn't say so in the article but it is probably (maybe) a bill for "materials" such as sand or foam to clean up, haul off and properly despose of oil/gas/etc on the road..

To haul more than 108 gallons of fuel to my equipment I had to have an approved tank and placard, hazardous materials endorsement on my drivers lincense and
$1,000,000.00 in insurance to clean up the mess if I had a accidental spill.

....and large messy, oily accidents are usually cleaned up by private companies.

So you are walking past a neighbors home and they are mowing the grass, a rock fly  putting your eye out and blood goes everywhere.    Fire Department and Ambulance arrives to cart you off, police find the neighbor is an illegal alien. 

Neighbor packs up family and heads for the border.   Now you at home recovering get bills from the whole shebang, cost of rescue, cleaning up your blood, hell even the neighbor will sue you for causing them financial stress that caused them to move.    Freaking weird stuff happens, this is America , one can sue a ham sandwitch.

This disgusts me, if it was upto me I would have illegal aliens who were in prison clean the street and work 20 hours a day to pay the funeral bills for the poor woman.
