Democrats use the term, "Democrat" often themselves. This is nothing new.

What is new is the faux outrage at the use of the term. No normal person is upset or even aware that others are upset with the word, Democrat. I work in a liberal heavy work place: they all use the word democrat to refer to themselves.
Certainly, calling me a "publican" is not an insult.

This is all pretend, sissy stuff. Real men don't play with semantics.

term "Democrat Party". That's because the word "Democratic" connotes something that follows Democratic principles, which used to be much revered all around the World for Centuries.

On the other hand, the "Democrat Party" is used to steer away from the beautiful word "Democratic". The original use of Democratic was as an adjective. The Republicans use the word "Democrat" as a derisive noun. It is intended as an insult, sort of like saying "The Dirty Bastards Party".
