She offered a recipe on herbed tomatoes, touting them as a “great accompaniment to a plain meat and potatoes meal!†She also included a crab with tomato mayonnaise dressing dish and a Mexican oatmeal soup that included oats, onions, tomatoes and chicken broth. ...
Shit, really? In 1984, nobody looked at these recipes and said, "This doesn't sound like Indian food. Maybe we should take a closer look at that blonde, blue-eyed so-called Indian princess". Where was the American Indian Movement when we needed them?
Do they serve lots of "Herbed Tomatoes" on the rez? How much crab fishing are the Cherokees doing in Oklahoma- or are they hunting the elusive Prairie Crab? Do they mix the sweet meat of the Prairie Crab with traditional Cherokee sun-cured mayonnaise? And WTF is "Mexican oatmeal soup"? Sounds like vomit in a pot. I hope Wilford Brimley slaps the crap outta her.
Note to Fauxahontas: Just because Indians eat government cheese, does not make the government cheese "Indian food".
(Note: Indians = woo-woo, not spot-on-forehead)
