Well.....I'd posit that the only folks less intelligent than the DUmmies in this instance are the Egyptians........kinda reinforces my theory that the average Muslim has an economic IQ of about 35, just above the moron level.

Not only is Israel Egypt's largest natural gas customer, they are Egypt's ONLY natural gas customer (Egypt is virtually surrounded by gas-producing nations).......who are they gonna sell it to?  Sudan?  Libya?  Algeria? Somalia??  Egypt has ONE tiny liquefaction plant, so they can't really export it in any quantity.  Egypt provides gas to Israel via the Trans-Sinai pipeline, so transportation costs are negligible.  Are they gonna EAT it??  Leave it to a Muslim to "cut off his nose to spite his face".

In the meantime the US has vast quantities of NG languishing, plenty of liquefaction capacity, and prices are now at an all-time low.........a new market for us......

For a country that is sorely in need of cash......smooth move.......
